Formerly Western Kathiawar Agency, merged into Saurashtra; now in Gujarat State. Located at 21°29' north and 71° east, 15 miles from Kunkavav on the Bhavnagar, Gondal, Junagadh and Porbandar Railway. It is near Gir, the wild highlands which occupy the center of the Kathiawar peninsula. Area 25 sq. miles (17 villages). Conquered in 1725 by Vala Mancha Bhaiya of Deogam Devla, the estate at independence belonged to the Vala Kathis and was the seat of an Agency Thana. Rulers : This Majmu taluka was ruled over by four chieftains.
